Signature Performance Team Awarded Air Force
Medical Administrative Support Services (MASS) Contract;
MASS Will Enhance Current Air Force Revenue Cycle Program and Help Create Consistency in MTF Service, Staffing and Performance
OMAHA, NE—May 04, 2007— The Signature Performance Team has been awarded a five-year contract to provide Medical Administrative Support Services (MASS) for United States Air Force Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) located in the U.S. The services included in the MASS Contract involve the front end functions of the revenue cycle program, to include: patient appointing, medical records, medical coding, medical transcription and referral management.
The Signature Performance Team members include Signature Performance, Humana Military Healthcare Services, Standard Technology, Inc., p.r.n. Steno-Medical Transcription Services, Inc. and C.J. Enterprises, Inc. The Team currently represents 62 of the 63 Air Force MTFs included in the MASS contract in various capacities within the revenue cycle. These five highly regarded organizations bring over 100 years of combined military medical administrative support services experience to the Air Force, thus making the Team uniquely qualified to meet the special demands of the Military Health System’s revenue cycle program.
Signature Performance, the prime contractor for the Signature Team, currently represents 31 Air Force MTF’s throughout the United States under the Third Party Billing Centralized Contract which was awarded in 2004. In compliance with the terms of this contract, Signature Performance provides the back end revenue cycle functions, including Third Party Collections and OHI discovery services.
The recent awarding of the MASS contract will enable the Air Force to build a more comprehensive, best of class revenue cycle program, thereby maximizing performance and creating a model for MTF’s throughout the MHS to follow. It will also allow each Air Force MTF to more efficiently manage their workforce and contract management processes and reduce the cycle time to fill workforce needs. The Air Force is confident that the financial benefits realized since the implementation of the Centralized Contract will continue to build through the execution of the MASS contract vehicle.
